Mobile Units

Karuna Trust runs 9 MHUs:

• 6 in Karnataka in collaboration with Karnataka Health System Development and Reforms Project
• 1 in Bangalore Urban in collaboration with Smile Foundation
• 1 each in Boisar (Maharashtra) and Rawatbhata (Rajasthan) in collaboration with Nuclear Power Corporation of India

The services cater to the underserved, insurgency prone and remote areas. These are the areas that have remote habitations and are far from the PHC or have no access to any health facilities

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Initiatives

Primary Health Care is extended through collaboration with Private and Public Enterprises to serve more people.

• Wienerberger
  Health Centre Wienerberger is a leading producer of clay building materials, was founded in 1819 by Mr. Alois Miesbach in Vienna (Austria). Wienerberger India was established in Bangalore in the year 2006. Karuna Trust is managing a Health Clinic at Gottikere village, Kunigal Taluk, Tumkur District in Karnataka since 2009 which is supported by Wienerberger as part of its CSR initiative.
• Nuclear Power Corporation of India Limited (NPCIL)
  NPCIL has initiated to provide healthcare services to the rural India through Health Centres and Mobile Health Units. Karuna Trust is being engaged as its partner to manage the services and currently managing Primary Health Centres at Kaiga in Karwar district, Boisar in Tarapur, Maharashtra and at Rawatbhata in Chittorgarh, Rajasthan.
