Primary Health Care Clinics
The Trust today manages 68 Primary Health Care Centers (PHCs) in 8 states - Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur ,Maharashtra ,Meghalaya and Rajasthan.Through the PHCs it manages, the Trust's 1000+ health care professional - doctors, nurses & staff - are reaching over 1 million people
Primary Health Centres (PHCs)
Total responsibility of Preventive, Promotive, Curative and Rehabilitative Health services to 20,000 to 30,000 population
- 24X7 emergency / casualty services (in selected PHCs)
- Outpatient department(OPD) facilities
- Five to ten bed inpatient facility
- 24X7 labour room and essential Obstetric Care facilities (in selected PHCs)
- Minor operation theatre facilities
- Availability of essential medicines and laboratory tests through centralised digitised monitoring system
- Management of sub centers attached to the PHC
- Community Participation through strengthening Village Health Sanitation and Nutrition (VHSNC) Committees
The success of Gumballi PHC and its impact as a “Model PHC” have enabled the model to scale up in collaboration with various State Governments as well as partnering with companies for their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives in Karnataka, Maharashtra and Rajasthan. Presently Karuna Trust manages 30 PHCs in Karnataka, 11 in Arunachal Pradesh, 11 in Meghalaya, 11 in Orissa, 3 in Manipur, 1 in Maharashtra and I in Rajasthan.
